Travel for a flick?

Knowing that Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sit will be in theaters in approximately 22 hours, I am starting to realize the slim chance of me actually seeing the movie first day. (I'd have to negotiate work for an early matinee showing, or face the huge crowds at night, which I still might do)

I know some ZP'ers already have tickets, and are ORGASMICALLY pumped (you know who you are).

Anyway, getting to question at hand... Anyone planning on doing a little travelling to see Star Wars? It's the last chance to see a Star Wars Movie FIRST DAY! People camp out for this, it's huge.

I saw The Phantom Menace first day, I'll never forget it. Though the line wasn't long, I did have to sit in a big theater way off to the side, I didn't care, it was Star Wars. I know the movie industry has been shit lately, but there are still some big movies every once in a while that merit a trip, such as SW (IMO).

So please, if you have a travel plan, or a story, do share, regardless if it's Star Wars or not. Hell you could just share you Star Wars experience if you like.

I want to be there first day. May try to camp overnight actually. First day showings of films with strong followings are a unique experience. Not often do people "get into" the movie. Attack of the clones was cool, the theatre exploded when Yoda whipped out his lightsaber.

The life long star wars fan I am, I went to see Ep1 at midnight.

Guess I learned my lesson. I may as well have stayed up late to watch George Lucas take a shit... wait-

i remember watching matrix reloaded a midnight me and some mates had to wait in the bar for 4 hours to see the film i watched the film quite drunk just wish id watched the last one drunk too.

I saw Episode One in SLP (hi crlocky)... that six auditorium one off 100.
I'm thinking about nerding it up and going to a midnight showing. :)

The same thing happened at the theater I went to for Episode II. The theater burst into cheerful delight and applause when yoda busted out his lightsaber. It was a good moment.
