ive been using shareaza for a fair few months now, my ports were all forwarded and firewall settings all sorted it worked fine but just recently i switched to exeem then back to shareaza. very soon my d/l speed dropped majorly, now whatever application i use i cant get speeds more than 1-2-kbs overall and alot of programs like bitlord dont work at all
i cant seem to think what could have made this happen, my normal direct downloads work fine, its just p2p programs.
im using the netgear dg834 router on windows xp0 profesional pc's, please note this problem seems to apply to both pc on the network

Is your port forwarding still working? The internal IP addresses of the PCs may have changed--check it out.

Try to disect the problem

Reset your broadband modem, and eliminate your router from this equation

If from a fresh reboot, you still experiemce this problem, then its indiginous to your PC environments

What about the Windows Firewall? Any other software firewalls?

Try resetting your router and starting from scratch

You really havent provided much info, are you in a dorm? Who is your ISP?

try running shields up
https://www.grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2 on your machine to see the status of all the ports you have forewarded, use the "all service ports" check.

It seems that your banning is redundant, as the Hunter banned him for being Sephiroth... when in fact Seph is like the most common name online.

I say unban him. Maybe he liked the second name better... i know it was more original.

Actually, Hunter didn't. Hunter just provided the explanation. The names (#2 and #3) were created due to his not properly responding to his confirmation email. This does not warrant creating sequential usernames. It really has nothing to do with Sephiroth. It could have been wingnut2601, wingnut2602, and wingnut2603 and the same thing would have applied.

Ah... I see (well, kinda...), alas, I don't really care about the issue that I misunderstood so i will not bother my pretty little mind with the unnecessary details to iron out the conflict as well as the detailed history.

Make sure your download bandwith is not limited in the shareaza settings.
