For some of you, the rug was pulled form beneath you when Supernova went offline, but what the feds don't get is technology is a never ending cycle, once old technology dies, new technology takes its place. Case in point: Seedler, one of the newest BitTorrent indexing sites to share torrents. Seedler has all the goodies, movies, music, games and programs. The sites easy to use and makes getting torrents a breeze. Just remember, always use protection.
O yea, suing your customers will never get you anywhere, creating exciting technology and promoting good music will! When will they ever listen?

too many small BT sites out there..
The only way to find something is using BT search engines.
It makes individual sites irrelevant.

Im suprised torrentspy.com wasnt suggested. I like the idea of bit torrent, but open website to anyone to join with all these movies listed is a bad idea at any given time. I use torrentspy for software, some albums, xbox games.no seeder or leecher amount listed. If you ever get a chance, join torrentbytes.org Or if you been here while, ill try to find an invite for all other sites. Usually the uploaders who seed need to have at least 2mb upload as well as access to the newsgroup in which all these reign from. I tried newsgroups and my pc crashed a bit, slow and was being hogged accessing all the files.

Something that would really be cool for this site, is a ranking system for BT. People could submit BT sites with small reviews (similar to how news is submitted and moderated). After the site is posted people could vote on the site. That way you could look through huge lists of BT sites and know which ones people think are the best.

I am a newbie and was told that torrents were safer to download than most P2P network downloads At the end of the article it says " Just remember, always use protection." can someone explain this to me what kind of protection is needed when using torrents or even torrent clients

Agreed! Newsgroups coupled with nzb files are by far the most effective method of getting what you want.

Torrents are safer in the fact that viruses are extremely rare. Torrents are not by any means anonymous. So if you're in the USA and think it's safe from riaa/mpaa you're wrong. Protection is refering to anti-virus and maybe a proxy, but it is by no means 100% safe or anonymous.
