I am a windows user and a fairly advanced P2P user as well. I have WinMX and EMule for my P2P software, I dont have any torrent clients...just dont see a need for it right now..anyway...my cousin has a g4 Mac and is not familiar with any kind of torrent/p2p or anything. I want to share files with him i.e. d/l apple software and share it with him or alteast go to his house and get him a pretty reliable, decent, respected P2P and/or torrent client to share files. I know absolutely nothing of Mac or its OS or anything of it at all. So my question is, what can my cousin do about file sharing?? I appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

One thread is quite sufficient, and the others will be deleted shortly.

I would recommend Acquisition for small files (music etc.) and BitTorrent for bigger ones like movies. There are a lot of torrent clients out there, but the standard bittorrent is good for beginners. I would definetely get a torrent client because they're the best way to get mac software. You can find both on the ZP homepage under Apple.

I didnt realize the rules of the fourm i thought spreading the posting would get the most responses...so what i am looking for exactly is to share software via MAC OS through file sharing software...I do windows and am only familiar with WinMX and emule, so for MAC what would be the best way to exchange software like photoshop, firewall software stuff like that?

So, you have the files and you just want to share them with someone else? If that's the case I would go with an FTP client like Transmit (http://www.panic.com/transmit/). I'm not sure what windows FTP clients are good, but that'll get you halfway there. If you want to share with everyone out there, get Bittorrent and post a link to a torrent site.

all im want is this.....my friend has a MAC, I have Windows XP, I already know i wont be able to share files with him, so what im looking for is to help him find a reliable, stable, great P2P software that he can use to get/share files like adobe photoshop, firewall software, and other retail software. I have Windows XP and use WinMX and Emule and those are pretty good P2P software. I dont know much about MAC and the P2P software is has to use, so thats why i thought i would come here and see....thanks
