That sucks. Why did they get rid of the red cape? Where is the red? What is that crap?

It's still blue and red. They've just gone with a darker shade of both than before.

To give the new guy credit, in pics used in comparison to Chris Reeve and him he actually does look like Reeve in a general way.
I think it might be pretty good.
Director Brian Singer was the first to make a comic movie that was actually decent (X-men) if anyone could make it cool it would be him

I've never been big on Superman. But if this director does as good a job as X-Men, and this new guy can play the part, I think it has potential.

I've never been a really big Superman fan either but I'm hoping this is MUCH better than the X-men movies. I thought they were horrible. I still say the 1st one was one of the worst movies I've ever seen & I slept through half the 2nd one because it was so boring and bad it put me to sleep.

Well I guess theres just no pleasing you is there? Would you rather they fly around you in your living room in Holigraphic surround 3D vision? Maybe kick you in the ass once and a while just to livin up your life ans keep you awake?

You obviously have not seen what came out before Xmen.
Historically any movie based on a game or a comic has sucked a whole lotta ass

How else could superman look? That looks like superman. I guess if you want to completely overhaul superman you could, but obviously they are not looking to do that.
Superman is Superman and that is what the guy looks like.

I agree. There's very few movies based on games/comics that I've liked and I'm sure many people would agree with you that the one's before x-men didn't compare. CGI wise, I would too, but plot wise, I thought they were terrible. About the only game/comic turned movie I've liked that's come out in the last 5 years is The Punisher.

There's enough subtle change to make newer fans happy, but not too much to piss off the traditional comic book fans. After this much time you've got to freshen the look up a bit.

Unlike the last Batman movie, which was ultramodern and supergay.

I couldn't agree more, lol. I wonder if this up and coming Batman movie will be along the same lines..?

Granted... X-men was good. But what about Blade.. without the success, even if limited, of Blade, X-men wouldn't have got the green light. The one to thank for that is Wesley Snipes, he said if he was to be involved, he wanted control.
I just think supes needs a little more frame. That pic reminds me of the old Captain America movie and how cheesy he looked.

All of them except for the very first one falls under that definition. The only reason the first one was good was because of Jack Nicholson was a great Joker.
Also I think the new Superman could use a bit less hair gel.

I agree that Bryan Singer is a perfect pick to direct this film.
The X-Men flicks are great, but I think in Superman he'll have more room to focus in depth on fewer characters, as opposed to trying to fit a whole super team of tights into two hours.

I don't know. The costume just looks more fanfilm than studio movie. I like fanfilms, but if they were bigscreen, it would defy the idea of fanfilms.
