[0]Snibor Eoj writes "The Boston Globe Online has an article by Hiawatha
Bray discussing the [1]state of gaming on PCs and consoles. He points out
that PC users now suffer the same fate as Mac users have for years, that
of waiting for a great game that's already out on another platform.
Consoles continue to gain market share, and software companies are
noticing that and writing more and earlier for consoles than for PCs."

become a game. Yeha!"

[0]nafmo writes "In this day and age of quadruple-dvd games with
amazingly big 3D worlds, one might think that the science of compact
coding has been lost forever. Well, not so, ast the [1]2002 MiniGame
competition proves. There are [2]62 games for 14 different vintage
computer platforms, of which none take up more than 1024 bytes. The vote
for this year's best minigame ends on 7th of October, so you'd better
[3]grab the votepack and start playing!"

Microsoft foils Xbox hackers with new Config |

[0]randomizer9 writes was among several readers who noted that Microsoft
has changed the configs on the XBox and really [1]messed up the hackers
who have been trying to coax the box into being divx players, linux
boxes, microwave ovens, white noise generators and so on. Kinda doubt the
conspiracy angle, but it certainly is annoying.
