Can anyone tell me what it takes to start up a bittorent website? I am Romanian and I want to make one for people who want to share romanian torrents. I have a webserver but I am curious what I would need. Bandwidth, Space, what type of CMS, and any other information anyone has would be wonderful.

Can you be more specific? I know it will cost money for the host but I already have hosting. 2000mbs and 60 gigs of bandwidth. Does that seem enough? This isn't going to be super big just a small website where romanians or other nationailities which dont have their own website can post their torrents.

Lawyers? This is going to be a romanian bittorrent site why would the RIAA or any company care? The Romanian companies don't care as its legal in romania to share. But can anyone tell me what else I would need other than money?

I too would like to start a BT site. (SHOCKING!) But no, not for illegal content. I would like to start a site dedicated to hosting torrents of unsigned bands so they could get a fan base without having to go through Sony or whatnot. The main problems would be verifying people actually post music they have the right to post.
It would be really great if this could get big enough for people to launch a tour just by posting torrents of free music and touring is where most bands have to make most of their money anyways. Links could be provided for people who want to buy their full CD's at a much cheaper price than the labels could or will offer.
Who'll help me? Just kidding, its only a dream.

Ok other than the coputer which I obviously have since I am on it..and some web design knowledge..what else would I need?
