Now thats sexy....I know a few people who would have liked this BEFORE destroying their xbox's with solder.

Very very tempting. Maybe I won't have to buy a pre-modded box though some with the installed LED's are nice.

I GOT MY xbox modded when the xenium ice chip came out.. ITS AWESOME! Never buy another xbox title unless it goes down below 20 and i want to play xbox live with it. I got c-xbox tools that add two-three xbox iso together to fit on one dvdr. I maybe have 30 xbox titles, and five retail titles. I wonder why more people dont do this. I have xbox 1.4version. It was the easiest thing to do. ANd being able to put video recorder in to record yourself playing it, and then FTP to your pc, and put music on it to make a cool video is just the start. Able to play games on the HDD.

Is there anything for Xbox similar to the memory card exploit for PS2s? That would be nice - I might even consider getting an Xbox if all I had to purchase, aside from the console itself, would be another HDD.

Go to torrent-lab.com . There is a soft mod version that enables you to play burnt games. You need a memory card and a video game that has the exploit. I love modding it for the fact I can go and start up the retail operating system or the hacked bios. Plus, people that put xbox games up on the net to download before the game comes out, or cut out the video to make it fit on a DVD 5. No one is being sued for sharing video games from consoles i dont believe

No! Xenium is the shit. I tried the swap CD thing originaly because I was afraid to solder a $200 dollar purchase(waste of time). But then I figured what the hell(soldering aint that hard). Xenium or any other so called 4th generation Mod chip acompanied by slayers 2.5 or 2.6 will make any Xbox into a mini computer/nuclear device/space exploration vehicle/blow up doll. You can even run Win 98 if you so chose(if you're really a sick bastard).

Modding is the only way to go. The Cd Swapping thing is bullshit.

Jade empire is the next one i will get, I loved the Red Ninja game, as well as some varoius others. But I dont have time to get into really all these games. I havent played mercenaries since a week after i got it. So many titles, and so little time.

I used to be into the emu and cart copier scene. It was fun but I do not have time for it anymore. I looked into modding several new devices, including sat and came to the conclusion that why would I want to spend over 500 dollars to watch 500 channels of nothing on.

Gameboy was great, except play one rpg on it, and you have to buy another gameboy because the controller pad wears out. Same is true with all handhelds. handheld console games need to have repairable and detachable controllers.

Until that happens, I am not buying any of that junk.

There is not one game that I can think of worth buying today.

Ninja Gaiden for the xbox is the only game I'd say is worth buying.

Yeah, the only problem that can occure is that xbox wont play some cd-r or some dvd-r, and may like dvd +r better. So you have to test to see which brand your xbox likes. Unless you get a bigger hard drive in it where you can put the games on their from FTP.

you really dont know anything about Modded Xbox's , only thing that matters as to what media can be read is what brand your DVD-drive is Samsung is the best( it will play almost anything except DVD+R, none will play DVD+R, inless you buy the hombrew tweaked drive its a Samsung also )

and a Xbox with any drive can not read DVD+R so you are way off( besides the hombrew rive )
abox has either a Samsung( #1 ) , Thompson , or hitacth

DVD+R does not work on any Xbox. I know becuase I used to mod them, Dont belive it ask the Xbox mod leaders at Xbox-Scene.com

funest thing to do with a larger hard drive is rent games and copy then to the HDD, gotta love the HOLLYWOOD Video $20 a mounth unlimited game rental ( one game at a time )

Just make sure you change the Book Type to DVD ROM and your DVD+R media will work in a XBOX,PS2 and cheap DVD players like the $30 Cyberhome models .

I know more of it then you think. Some xboxes wont read certain media because of the drives in there. Thats why i said some xboxes wont play cd-r or some dvd-r. I Know because I modded a friend which is 1.1 and could not install an exucter bios cause it wouldnt read the cd-r. I swapped drives out and put mine in, and loaded it. It would only play two brands of dvd-r games that i had put in their, would not play fujifilm dvd-rw. Which is what I use to put games on to see if i like it or not or worth a dvd-r. I Use cxbox tools to put two or three isos on a DVD-r to save dvd-r. I know for a fact that dvd+r work on one of the versions, why else would someone post it in a forum of what brand he uses? http://bt.xbox-sky.com Is where i get some from, and others from torrent-lab.com and the rest at torrentbytes.net.

There are some xboxes with Philips DVD drives. They read DVD+R just fine in my experience.

Samsung seems to read read DVD+R if I lower my burn speed and set the book type to DVD-ROM. It would be easier if I just bought some DVD-R media.
