My friend told me about a tool to convert video files to play on your PSP! The story reads...
PSP Video 9 is a free PSP video conversion and management application. It can convert regular PC video files (avi, mpeg, etc) into PSP video files, as well as manage/copy these PSP video files between your PC and PSP.
When combined with another application, Videora (http://www.videora.com) + PSP Video 9 form the first PSPcasting solution, allowing you to download, convert and copy video to your PSP, automatically using BitTorrent and RSS technology.

Never cease to amaze me how far people will go to make every format convertable to be played on just about anything.

It amazes me how people camp out waiting hours/days for gadgets that as cool as they may be will inevitably sit next you computer idle in a few days.

Whatever you store, you store it on flash memory. You can store it on the included 32MB memory stick, or you can go spend hundreds of dollars more and get a 1 GB one. Battery life will expire however before you listen to everything on the GB, prolly before it half over.

Lucky?
Quality control issues, plauged with some of the worst LCD defect rates since the early 90's, I'd say PSP owners have been officially shafted.
Sony sucks. (No, I am not an Xbox or GC fanboy either. Sony just sucks.)

I did get word that someone who just got one had like 3 pixels burned out upon purchase. That would be pretty annoying.

There have been a few ploblems reported. Mainly, like stated, dead pixels and sticky buttons. As I thought, the price also has seemed to have held sales back. There were units left at local retail stores my way.
Slashdot (http://games.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=05/03/30/1729246&from=rss)
"We're starting to see our first mainstream media reports on the PSP's (lack of) sales performance, from the Seattle Times: "But while Sony is touting the rollout as a success -- and many retailers did sell their entire stock -- the event might not have been the complete blockbuster that was expected." In summary, the article says that more systems were sold than not, that dedicated gaming stores were more likely to sell out than department stores like Target, and that the biggest reason gamers didn't pick it up is likely its price -- which wasn't helped by some retailers' sale condition that customers also purchase games, which could raise the price to nearly $350. Will demand pick up once the unit is out there and seen by people, or will it take a price cut before the system sells satisfactorily?"

I do like my PSP, it just that I can't get 1GB memory stick to play video on it for now.
BTW, if you have dead pixel(s) on LCD display screen. Sony would replace the unit, so make sure you contact Sony for a replacement!
the great one
