First, this is not (another) v3.3 bash. I have been using WinMX for a long time and it is IMO still the best filesharing tool there is.
Now, I understand there was some sort of network revamping between versions 2.x and 3.x, and I would like to know what was the reason for that. Does anybody here know it ? Is the new network more efficient ? More stable ? Or it just fancied the developers ? Any ideas ?
This is the kind of change that has the potential to alienate many users (who are not patient enough to wait until the new network is widespread, just check some of the complaints about eDonkey/Overnet), so IMO it would only be made if there was a significant gain of some sort.
