java crap

got a problem and i need your help thanks.

i have a problem with java applets i simply cant load it, i tired some thing like dleted cache cookies changing settings enabling disabling and still cant,
i think i've had a same problem long time ago and i notron ghosted and that fixed it lol,

could a file be corrupted or something or could it be a virus? if anyone has any idea or suggestion pliz reply and also if i didnt explain what the problem is, then ill try to explain it better.

also using internet explorer 5.5 and just downloaded "sun's java" which i dont understand.win98se.

I have the same probelm with the new Java. I just install Opera and the extra plug-in for it for Java and no probelms.
