I never ask for help here, but at this stage I'm desperate.
For some unknown reason, but for the last 2 days or so everytime I try to middle click on the mouse to scroll up and down websites faster, either one of two things happens. Either I get an error window that says "URL is not valid and cannot be loaded" or I get sent to some random internet page. Yesterday I kept being sent to IMDB (http://www.imdb.com) and today I keep being sent here (http://www.lyricsbox.com/k-os-lyrics-crabbuckit-b6qhfzh.html). I went to IMDB last week, and I've never gone to that last website ever so it can't be bringing up past history items.
Oh, and I'm running Firefox 1.0.1

I've already checked with Ad-aware, and all it found was a stupid tracking cookie.
As for the tread title. I'm sorry to disappoint, but I do not wish to date any of you.

Hmmm... the only time this ever happened to me was in linux - it took me forever to figure it out, but turns out that with every middle click, it was pasting the contents of the clipboard into Firefox. Firefox would then do a google search with that and take me to the first hit it had.
No idea if this helps you any, but I figure it's worth looking to.
And you don't even want to date me? Oh, that hurts! :P

Just for kicks and giggles, create a new firefox profile (http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile), and see if the problem still occurs. If it doesn't, we've successfully narrowed the possible sources of the problem quite a bit.

"kicks and giggles"? I've heard "shits and giggles" but never kicks an giggles...
Anyways. I did the whole profile thing and as it turns out, the new profile worked the way it's supposed to. So I'm gonna uninstall every extension one by one and see which one is the culprit. I'll post my results later.

Well I have no idea what was causing it, but I went and removed all extensions and it was still funky, so I had to create an entirely new profile and install them all again one at a time and now everything is working fine. Thanks CPU, I owe ya one.
