What do you think. Pull her plug or No?

Looks like Congress is trying to stick it back in her.

Ok better question.
Given the same circumstance, could you starve your own child to death?

Yes, I could.

Another the way to ask the question is how would you like to be kept alive in that state?

How would you know you were?

It wouldn't matter. Going from a full life to a place where she is now....No Thank You! I have all my shit signed at dated, T's crossed I's dotted, I will NEVER be in her circumstances.

I was looking for the option, "pull the plug and let her starve... then start feeding her again until she was well... then do it again..." Unfortunately, this option was not available.

So you'd give her the ol' in and out, in and out? Just where are they stickin that tube, anyways?

Ironically, that what is most likely what's gonna happen with this political tug-a-war.

Exactly... Following the events of the day this will be re-insertation of the feeding tube #3...

I am all for the right to die, but if this family wants to pay for all the medical costs to keep alive a person that is functionally dead, sobeit (I think this may be my new word... i am coining it right now). If there were no feeding tubes, she would already be dead. I think that congress is meddling in God's will... did he/she intend for her to live like this? He made her brain-damaged so that she couldn't eat, so that she would starve, so that she would force people with antiquated notions over life to re-evaluate their beliefs, and what God's intent was... That God is a joker... he is so fucking with these people.

My grandfather is 95 years old, and has decided to give up on life. He can hardly see, and hearing is nearly as difficult. He lives with my aunt, who has been a nurse for over 40 years. All of his children (except my father) have decided to let him go as he wishes. He's too tired to do much, he can't see the T.V. (his favorite thing) and basicly sleeps all day. He is on antidepressants, but depression didn't influence his descision. He had my aunt send out a letter to all the family, that we should not mourn, but celebrate his long and joyful life. This is what I think about. If your body is not going to allow you to live, it is selfish of those who are supossed to love you to keep you here. Let her go, wherever that may be, and be free of the prison of her broken body.
