Anyone got ideas about the message when LW starts up "upgrade to limewire 4.8, this is a security upgrade" or something like that..what's the security issue then?

I saw that sneaky little piece of spyware bundled in the zip I got from BT in the new 4.8.0. I don't know where it came from, but I looked up the IE toolbar they say you need in order to use this version without being detected. It smells like a huge scam. I am still using 4.6.0 and don't think I'll be updating for a while yet.

That's why you should always get it from www.limewire.com - there's no spyware / adware / crapware in that version.

I posted the question if you all could answer it that would be great if you decide to upgrade. I upgraded to be safe.
