I've tried both of their vitual drive programs and they stick on the "continuing to update files" screen on reboot.

hrmmm try to find an older version of the program there used to be a version of deamon tools that had a monster head back when I had windows ME if I had it I would send it to you but unfortunately I no longer have it see if you can find that I can confirm that that version works with windows ME...

Everything crashes with Windows ME!

google for the version u need for windows me
type in this key word
windows me + daemon tools
windows me + alchol program

Can't seem to find the version. It says it runs daemon on all Windows OS which leaves me with more to search through.

Alcohol 120% comes with device file updates, whatever they are. I'll pm some to you. That might work...or not.
