Block banner ads easily with SuperTrick http://doa2.host.sk/ (click SuperTrick). No system overhead.

If you also run eDexter (available from the same site in the "Downloads" section), you can replace the ad with your own image, or just have a transparent image. I run eDexter, a very small program, automatically at start up, and it runs in the background. I then enjoy surfing with no ads, and forget all about "Extending my Penis", and "Stopping Child Abuse In America"

It builds itself right into your browser, and I can tell you that it rocks.

Your right Wonderboy, everybody could do with a bigger penis. I've unblocked the penis ads. I guess I'll need the special loose fitting trousers too.

I Use Pop-Up Stopper Companion. It puts a toolbar to IE and from there I can control all popups and popunders and allow them in sites where they are needed. More than that, the app ads some more options:
- Keep/ban/manage Cookies
- Use its own hotlist for a secondary favorites place
- Clear Url, drop-down, browser histories
- Clear browser cache, autocomplete forms, passwords, run history, recent docs, recycle bin etc...
