Hey I was wondering... What's your favorite MMORPG? I think for me, It's a tie between City of heroes and World of warcraft.

HHOS-- a bunch of people i know used to play CoH and it seemed rather limited and shallow, without a real trading or equipment system I don't see how it can maintain a player base with the only carrot being experience and leveling. though if they play things right with city of villians and allow massive PvP wars things could get interesting. I used to like everquest a few years ago but after a whi8le the number of new players fell off rapidly and the only people left were twinks and alts who only cared about reaching level 65.

Goto your local EB Games and pre-order it. Put 5 bucks down and you can participate in the next beta event on March.17 If you dont like it just dont pick up the game and you're only out five bucks. I already paid in full for it, I have only played in one beta weekend but I played for 26 hours. The game is awesome and best of all there is NO subscription, you buy the game and you can play it with out having to pay monthly. The Official release date is April.27th I believe. There is a beta event once a month starting at 12:01AM on friday and closing midnight on Sunday. Definately worth a look. If you get it add me during the next beta, my characters name is "Isaac Of Dunharrow"

I prefer Neverwinter Nights. To follow that, I would prefer choosing FFXI rather than any of the above.

I didn't realize FFXI was very popular. The reason I didn't list it is because the footage of the battle system looked really weird to me..

How is that game? I've always been hesitant to get it. I've never much been the greatest fan of RPG or role playing type games, but I'm a huge Star Wars fan. A buddy of mine at work has it, and said it was alright, so I think I might give it a try... I think I'm going to wait until after May 5th. I hear there is an expansion coming out at that time, so I'll get it with that.

Don't even try to buy that game if you're new to rpgs. Try out this game called Star Wars Knights of the Old republic if you are a star wars fan and want to try out the rpg genre. What really stands out about this game is that you can choose between the sides of good or evil.

Is it because you don't have time to play games? Some say playing games is like a second career because it takes a lot of time to play a game especially mmorpg.

oops sorry thought it was still in beta cos you could give friends a key to play for a weekend.
i think iv been here long enough not to ask outloud for warez/gens :P

I agree with you. Guild Wars is really better than world of warcraft. I'm not just talking about the NO monthly fee. Guild Wars improves everything world of warcraft has. If you want more details about this, read the 3 page review or video review by Greg Kasavin on gamespot.com. I'm sure it will be MMORPG game of the year of 2005 hands down.

It is out of beta, during beta pre-orders got key for themselves and a friends key good for one event that they could give to a friend. A key can only be used once so its not really an issue. If someone gives it away it wont work for another person.

Meh.....I gave Guild Wars a try. Same ol, same ol to me. Didn't appeal to me. To the question that was asked to me above, I have time to play games. I just don't. Any game I've ever gotten in recent years, I would play a day or two and then never again. Wouldn't matter what console. PS2, Gamecube, xbox, pc.....always the same result. WoW is the only game that I've ever played that has sparked my interest enough to keep playing it after the first few initial days. Best game ever, IMHO.
