I've been beta testing the new microsoft anti-spyware, and have been 100% impressed with the results.

Not only have microsoft rounded on traditional threats like gator, but their appraisal of firefox was absolutely spot on, and confirmed what i already knew..

Check out this screenshot i took.

Microsoft continues to try to eliminate the competition, lol.
What's funny is the fact that microsoft is calling Mozilla a security risk.

you continue to dis firefox because you dont understand the concept plug-ins

you may have downloaded Firefox from a third party site that bundled spyware with it.
Firefox has no spy/adware in it. period.
false positive maybe...i have run Firefox since .08 and use M$ antispy...never hadFirefox show ...anyone else here get it shown???

grab, grab ..go here to find out some interesting and useful info about Firefox..might revise your opinion

Why do you hate a browser thats open source ,blocks popups, faster, more versitile, and (for now) safer than M$ Explorer ????

did it get a bad review in Al Jezeera??

If I remember correctly even Bill Gates said internet explorer was a security risk,so much so, that they wouldn't be bundling it with the their next operating system.

Funny? It's absolutely priceless. Only MikeHunt would be stupid enough to so passionately debunk a blatantly photoshopped image which was put up for a joke. Hilarious.

You can always count on a lot of people here at ZP to fall hard for a good joke. I wish I could find that old news item someone posted a few years back about a new copy protection the record instudustry was going to be releasing called "vinyl" these new "disks" where going to be much to large to be read by standard cd-roms or computers at all :-) People fell for it totally and there where all these posts about how we would over come them and find a way to rip our music!

What the hell does it say for slashdot that this nonsense made it to their "news" pages? Just what kind of far out shit has CmdrTaco been smoking lately? Doesn't he even bother to check these things out before he posts them? Or even to read the frickin thread? Too funny.

btw..thanks to p2pforums for letting me rip their idea.

One of the worse places to get freeware or d/ls is from third party places like download.com or from other sites other than the original makers site. Avoid them like the plague.

If you want something like protowall or peerguardian for example, don't get them anywhere but at the makers sites. These programs were at one time and may still be filled with spyware at other sites.

Firefox itself has no spyware from the originator.

Mels_Smileys45

Still pwn'in after all this time.

Download.com is fairly safe because of the user rating system. Nothing is 100%, not even trying to find a direct link.

eh, if it were Microsoft Firewall I think it would be mildly funny.

lol, didn't know bill admitted that about IE... it's actually alright when you disable active x (or make everything permission for active x), have spybot's ie protect, and xp-antispy, but even then yea, firefox all the way.
