I have been using Soulseek and Bittorrent to get music and movies respectively. But now at college the firewall blocks off Bittorrent, so no movies for me. So this brings me to DC++. I tried this awhile back but the filesharing requirements were a bit high, but through a year and half of Soulseek and Bittorrent I gained over 290 gigs of data.

Now when I had all of these files to DC++ (version .670) to share its telling me that there is 277:00:00 time remaing to index all my files. Is that normal?

Another problem I had one I first tried using DC++ about a year ago was not finding a good hub. Anyone can help me with this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Unfortunately the indexing does take a long time in .6 version of DC++. You can either go back and use older version (.4 version) or break down your share in smaller sections so you not are indexing 200 gigs in one setting. Smaller sections will index faster than one huge lump.

As for hubs depands on what type media looking for.

Well I am looking mostly for movie downloads with my Bittorrent situation. Soulseek is working very well for me in the music department. Any suggestions/help is appreciated.

Try using a passive connection since you said you are behind a firewall. The bad part about passive connection you can only connect with people with active connections and not with people behind firewalls like yourself.
