Feeling is not bad, nice interface, but the setup is a little bit pain...

First, the IP never correct, it always showing the internal ip of my PC (I connect through wireless router, which is 192.xxx.xxx.xxx); even I check the router to find out my internet ip address, it still always say "probing the firewall". I use the app "Active Port" to see whether my two opened TCP ports (port forward from router sure) are working. The first port showing connection "established", but the second (xxxx+1) seem no traffic and showing "listen". However, what make me confuse is that Ants is established several connections using other ports those have not been opened. What is going on?

Second, when I put my goodies in the share folder (contain a movie of 1GB, avi format), it keep indexing and seem no intention to stop even the progression bar run in full! Since the harddrive light is flashing crazyly, I just had to close Ants to terminate the process in a rude way!

Creators please correct these problem which prevent people to connect and share. Actually it is a very nice program, but user-friendly should take it to higher popularity :gj

The indexing does work it is just really slow. Especially with large files (over 500MB) and also with folders that have lots of little files. It can be a pain to get things indexed/hashed.

I heard somewhere that the IP was supposted to be changed from the internal to the external here pretty soon. That is always confusing for people. It is nice to be able to change it yourself but the default really should be the external IP.

No, by default Ants get my internal ip, which is not valid on the internet. I have to find external ip and input myself. But most of the end-user even don't know what is that, they may experience connection pain and abort to use Ants.

Connection was a little harsh I suppose at first but using JavaWebStart solved the problem quite simply you know the other downfall was in fact the slow indexing of files... I wonder whats up with the slow indexing why it takes so long...
