I have the game CueClub. Previously it used to work absolutely. Recentely I formatted my hard disk and Re-installed Win98. Still it is working fine but there is no sound. In the options menu, the option for sound settings are greyed out. I want the sound back. Please help.

It is possibly due to either an IRQ conflict a bad sound driver and if your running a PCI soundcard be sure to disable your onboard sound. If your sound is onboard sound be sure to enable it in your CMOS setup utility... And be sure you have the latest drivers and all your windows updates. To check for a conflict look in system devices and locate your sound card and check that there is no conflicts. Chances are it is as simple as a driver... Also do a search on your pc for volume control and make sure that your sound is turned up and your speakers are plugged in correctly. Some speakers use USB connectivity as well so make sure that everything is functional in that area as well if USB.
