As funny as this sounds, I listened the new Donny Osmond CD, "What I Meant to Say," the other week and loved it. I've never really been an Osmond fan, but this CD really shows that he can hold his own as a singer and a songwriter. His vocal performances on "One Dream" and "What I Meant to Say" are both amazing, and "Keep Her in Mind" shows Donny's darker emotional side. If you haven't heard this album, you are missing out big time -- check out donny.com for a preview (make sure to check out the songs I listed above, they're my personal favorites).

I don't like pop @ all. I mean when i was younger, around the age of 7 or 8, Ya pop was one of the biggest things with NSYNC and Backstreet boys and all those other gay 5 member boy bands, but times have changed and the rap and rock industries are taking over the musical cultures of the world.

I read somewhere else this CD was really good. Pop is not my thing though so I doubt I'll hear one song. How old is Donny now? 60?

Stop being prejudiced . Give it a listen. People change. Unless they're dead, of course.

I always thought Lief Garrett and David Cassidy were wussies too, but not as big a wuss as Donny.

This looks like astroturfing to me, though i may be a bit paranoid, most of the time a new members first post isn't about how great a CD is and how much you should go check ou their website.

I wonder how many sales were generated by this post.

I smell spam

He hasnt posted again.

And pop does suck. Its ruined North America's music reputation. The RIAA censors music like the Chinese censor the internet.

I know that most people would have a negative view of Donny Osmond as a musical artist, but I really did like the new album. I'm not the only one, too, it's gotten great reviews in several reputable publications, including Billboard and The Times...don't knock it until you take a listen. Besides, he's far from being a washup -- his voice still sounds amazing.

Take Care,
Julie
