My EDonkey seems stuck. I run it with EDonkey bot lite, and the last few times I've tried it, the downloads I have continually report "Looking" and don't actually start. This is despite the fact I'm in a hub with 28000 users. (This is why I use bot, to connect to popular servers instead of any ol' server)..

Can anyone fix my animal?

why don't you re-install?

also you may not be aware, there is a counter measure being used by many servers and folks on edonkey to block EDonkey bot.
Perhaps your server is blocking you. Try the donkey without the bot and see if it works, if not just re-install.

Also, if you happen to be kicked off during the night and are reconnected to a smaller server, and you have a long ID/ping, you wont be able to communicate with the whole network, and if you have a fast connection and have a low ping and are using WinXP, i had the same problem, all you have to do is disable the Windows XP ICF (Internet Connection Firewall) :-D Happy Hunting :-D

Thanks for the ideas. I'm not using a firewall, so it's not that. It's dead. I'm using EMule at the moment, and it's working fine.
Can't order the servers though, but as the file I'm after is popular, everyone seems to have it so I'm happy enough now.

Why is the file I'm after not on Kazaa?

I downloaded a popular app off the donkey yesterday, it was over 500mb and it came down like lightening!

oh yeah...how you like emule? been thinking of trying it?
any glitches or obvious bugs?
