hi guys, i'm new here but not new to filesharing and was hoping somebody here could answer a few questions i have.

my first question is what currently in all your opinions is the best p2p filesharing client to download console and pc games with?

my second question is what is the best method to obtain newly released good quality movies? irc or a p2p filesharing client? and if it is a p2p filesharing client which one?

also can somebody if possible point me towards a tutorial or just briefly explain to me how i go about downloading movies from irc channels? i always come across irc channels that in their info advertise they have newly released movies available usually in svcd or dvd rip format but i could never figure out how to download them. so if somebody can clue me in it would be greatly appreciated.

alt.binaries.movies.divx on the news servers is the fastest public access to DVD rips. Bittorrent is arguable as fast, speed wise and release wise.

You'll see the bots advertising themselves, like this:

The biggest hurdle I've seen new users of IRC run into is the fact that you have to open at least one listening port to download. If using mIRC, Options > Connect > Options > Advanced.. set the range of ports and open those on your NAT device (router). Only if you have a router, that is. ;)

You can easily browse through the downloads section and sort out programs accustomed to your need you can sort them by user rating and speed as well as multinetwork if thats what your into ....

The best thing to do is to try the applications out for your self to see what best fits your needs...

Otherwise you are just recieving an opinon that is based off of someone elses needs I would do some testing of the programs and become familiar with the basic functions of P2P...

The best thing is to aquire and formulate your own opinon about the programs currently available and there is a lot of them.
