People who find video games boring won't find any enlightenment from this thread.
However, people who like video games but don't give time sinks like FFXI a chance might feel a tingling. I present to you, the Kirin battle (http://web.mit.edu/psoto/www/ffxivideos/LS%20AgeOfVictory%20vs%20Kirin%20and%20Co%20(1st%2 0attempt)%20wmv.wmv). A little background on this frantic fight: you take an alliance (usually 2 alliances) of 18 people (3 full parties) to an extremely hard to get to area and fight the king god named "Kirin", an extremely high level monster. During the fight, which can last between 45 minutes to 5 hours depending on how well you do, Kirin will summon weaker gods that you must defeat while taking this huge bastard on. The reason you will see "So-and-so calls for help!" on a smaller god, is so the other alliance can join in and help defeat the lesser god.
My character isn't in this video, it takes place on another server. Really though, I just enjoyed the video and wanted to share it with everyone.
