I know this question gets asked alot... But I'm in college and the block kazaa. I've tried WINMX, and gnucleus, but they never seem to start the downloads. Is there some program out there that will download in college? I'm not worried about it being super fast, just a song or two a day... Thanks for your help...

first, ya gotta understad how the p2p networks are blocked...
a college blocks a certain port, which is how information is directed thru an ip address.
gnutella commonly uses 6346, so they can block that.
blubster uses udp, so they can block the whole thing, and it won't matter which port you use.
winmx uses several ports.
for gnucleus: go to the options menu and look around until you find a 'random' port option... it should be under 'advanced' or 'network'...
for winmx: go into options and tell all the tcp/ip and udp options over to 'unable to accept incoming'

if you really want kazaa, you could get a proxy router, which can basiclly (in my understanding, though it could very well be wrong) routs everything thru port 80 which is the html port, or website port. if your college blocked port 80 then there would be no reason to have the internet, as no one could access websites. because of that, port 80 is nearly allways open so if you can rout everything thru that port everything should work. however, im not an expert by any means, so check out the back to school section on the main page of zeropaid
