Hi there!
I just discovered this awesome new program called SlingerX. The website is http://www.slingerx.com
It connects to the same networks as Shareaza, but does so much faster! The GUI looks nicer too, and downloads are slightly faster. I used to use Shareaza a lot, but once I installed SlingerX I couldn't even look at Shareaza again.
Give it a try, you'll like it!

Do you have any screenshots? I don't feel like using windows at the moment. So screenshots would be nice :)

this is a shareaza ripoff. this is shareaza with the older interface and no credit given to mike or the team....still takes forever to connect.

An optimised version of sharezza that violates the GPL oh well looks like http://softwarefreedom.org/ will see its first case in the near future .

it's just shareaza. It's a sad, stupid atempt of ripping themoff.
It's no faster[stop making up speeds goddamnet!][tested on g2]
If you want to use shareaza, use the dam program, not solarx or whatever stupid name they gave to this ripp.
SolarX, I think I just gave birth to a new scam name lol.
Do I have to use my laim l33t language on this hidius piece of software?
Where is my translator!
Stick with shareaza

but seriously is it faster than shareaza now, i mean the network and the program? are there any changes @ all in the coding or noticable in the program it self? it just looked like an older version of Shareaza with a different name on it...when you go through the process of installing it and setting it up, you will laugh because it is step for step the exact same as Shareaza
as for speeds, I only tested a few files, and it doesn't seem any different than Shareaza. If you configure Shareaza correctly, the speeds are great anyway.
my opinion: don't trust a program that is a complete knockoff. stick with Shareaza

It's a complete rip off. They even copied the Shareaza.com homepage and documentation, then just did a search and replace on all the pages and code Shareaza->SlingerX.
