Does dvd decrypter compress the movies or no? Is there a setting? If not what do i use to compress to a 4.7 GB file size?

It doesn't, use dvd shrink, it's also free. Dvd Decryptor and Dvd Shrink is a very good combination. dvd decryptor will break protection dvd shrink can't.
the great one

If you have the time to wait several hours for encoding, try out DVD Rebuilder + Cinema Craft Encoder.
Check the guides at www.doom9.org and www.afterdawn.com.
I know I always say this, but it's really quite friggin' impressive.
