i heard file curruption is a bigger issue with ed2k network than w/the BT network. i always verify my BT dls with the sfv that is usually inclueded but files from ed2k are usually currupted? what exactly is curruption? is it like downloading the wrong part of the file? doesnt hashing prevent that?

Bit torrent maker i use hashes each song individually and creates a perfect torrent.. And that tells exactly the piece size you need and want.. On ed2k.. no torrent file to tell you exactly which piece and the sizes are. Plus winrar helps keep things in tact.

I use bitcomet and it has a built in torrent maker.
btw i love bitcomet and i love the fact that i can host anything i want simply by making a torrent file, sending that torrent file to whom ever i want via email, and letting them start a download from me.

i've never had any corruption problems on ed2k, and i'd be willing to bet that if corruption is a problem, it's not ed2k's fault--but the users' for having corrupt files.

ICH and AICH should keep quite good track of corruption. :)

Likewise, I have never had a problem with curruption kazaa was host to many currupt files but ed2k network seemed to be a little more solid especially if using verified links.

noo im just noob =P i read up on a website of links to files that dont pass CVC checks that were on e2dk and this was the only time a website was showing me which files were currupt for a p2p thing since, ive never seen a BT tracker or download thing saying that some peers had currupt files and so i was just wondering if files were more likely to be currupt on ed2k and what exactly curruption was. if what u guys have said are true then i have no need to worry about curruption on fhe ed2k network ^^

Thats not being a boob it is more being interested in the nuts and bolts of the networks really which is a good thing but I have heard of people recieving currupted files on both networks...
So I dunno really I know BT is a bit faster then ed2k and the sources are all pretty much good and verified even most of the time...
Who knows maybe ED2k is a little less reliable I can only give you my personal opinon based off of using the networks.
