It seems that gnucleus 2.0 will be coming soon. There are a few betas avialable right now. If you have the correct settings, gnucleus should evolve into the latest beta.
Check out this (http://216.74.73.125/~c0re/gnuforum/viewthread.php?tid=2889) at the gnucleus forums for more info.

it's decent but it is a beta. i don't think it's normal to take up 80mb of memory and then crash.

Thanks for the heads up Jabba. I stopped checking Gnucleus' forum because it seemed like it was never going to arrive!

I wonder if anyone can help me. I downloaded Gnucleus last night. I was very happy with it, and very satisfied with the amount of files there too! The only problem I have with it is that it drains my RAM or physical memory down to almost nothing within 15 minutes of using it everytime!
The only file sharing programs that don't give me this problem is Kazaa and Winmx. Ares and one more program gave me the same problem: LOW RAM to the point where I have to close the program.
I have a feeling that it may just be me. Or not? There are some really nice programs out there, and it's sad that I cannot use them b/c of this problem.
Does anyone have a clue or have the same problem as I do?
If this helps, I use Win98SE/56k modem/sharing 300 music and video files.
Thanks for any kind responces.

If you don't mind me asking, how much RAM do you have?

I have 382MB of RAM. Just to add to that, I have the ultra keeper turned off and use Sygate firewall.
Thanks
