I like SoulSeek.
A lot.
I keep my files under 1000 for the masses, but if you guys end up on my user list you can dig through the archives (of public domain music of course) if you wish.
Add me and tell me who you are.
.. and put on that dress I like.

I remember reading at one poiint a slsk fan saying the slsk folks didn't want a forum here because they were hoping to stay away from the mainstream enough to discourage the Britney [etc., Top 40 acts] fans.
I don't know if that's true or current, but it might make sense.

A most wise decision and likely true.

SoulSeek already has every drop of top 40 you can think of, as well as music worth downloading.
Modestas, I like music that makes me crap rainbow flavored unicorns.

Someone would then call you a slskperson or something.. And get called on spamming and flamming =(

Meh.
I think that's as likely as getting called a BitTorrent spammer. (explosive torrents guy notwishstanding)

Soulseek is up on the top 40 I'd have to agree myself its also been around for quite some time theres no hiding it really if you wanted to keep something that private you'd almost have to keep the program within a trusted group of people and even then the program would still probably get leaked or sold money the ultimate power of persauasion.
I'm all for the forum myself I dont see what the big deal is.

I'm not into trance. If it's modern electronic music, I like big beat and hip hop influenced.
I have every genre on my hard drives. Modern country not included.

Same, Biggie Smalls lives next to Clapton on my HDD
Pink Floyd chills with The Prodigy
If you love music it will expand beyond Genre boundaries, though I dont have any country in my collection. Funny but I can't find a damn thing I like that falls in the country genre

I've got a bunch of Johnny Cash and some Willie Nelson. I think that's the extent of it.
I'm almost 30 years old now, and have gone through a bunch of musical phases, so I can appreciate almost anything. Almost.

I like johnny cash but I think that he did a good job on the video I just havent been able to download it yet...
Kept forgetting the name of it. I like cover and mix and mash stuff many times I guess maybe shitty taste but none the less I like to see another artisits way of putting a song sometime it gives you a whole nother viewpoint of the song.

I agree the music forums should just be wacked and just have one section called music forums.
Then you'll have less scrolling to do.

Yes.
And everyone should have to queue for 7 hours before they can post.
Soulseek fans will feel right at home.
