Hi I can't launch a billiards game (http://www.terragame.com/lbclub.shtml)
My home computers connected through broadband ethernet router and seems my computer has one IP and router has another and game cannot find another computer.
I'm sure many people might encounter such a problem, please someone help or point me to some online resources:)

Port fowording is differnt on routers some it is located in advanced setup some in othere places...

Go either here: http://192.168.1.1 (http://192.168.1.1/) or http://192.168.0.1 (http://192.168.0.1/) if theres a default password it is probably admin...

How to port forward for p2p apps is enable the TCP ports specified by your p2p software. Most routers will flat out say port forwarding ...

Once you find the port forwarding section set the port lets say its Antsp2p that you wanna setup you specify the ports 4567 and 4568 and then link them with your IP address assingned by DHCP...

To find this IP you can go to start -> run -> type in the box command then hit ok -> now in the dos window type ipconfig -> Then hit enter -> You will see some information pop up take note of the ending suffix of your IP address example 192.168.0.suffix or 192.168.1.suffix depending on the model of your router is normally .0 or .1 before the suffix...

Now you have that information now you know the IP's which you want the ports forwarded to so either in basic or advanced setup there will be an option for port forwarding you want to set this up for the correct ports and IP lets say your running antsp2p and your IP is 192.168.0.7:

You would setup your ports 4567 and 4568 to be forwarded to the IP address of 192.168.0.7 individually you'll set up one port forward as 4567 and one port forward as 4568 both to the same IP address.

Now if you get annoyed or the DHCP changes your IP frequently you can set your IP as static by configuring your IP in windows along with the DNS servers provided which can be found on your connection status page in your router there should be two DNS IP's you would want to first make note of them.

Then what you do is locate your connection right click on it hit properties then highlight TCP/IP and hit properties button then you enter in your IP 192.168.0.7 lets say it is then the subnet mask and the gateway to the router which is the IP you have to type to get to your settings page.

Next you enter the two DNS server entries you made note of... hit apply then ok now your IP is static and should pickup webpages...

Note some ISP's change there IP and DNS server information every once in a while and you may have to go through this process again but its easy once you understand it all. The concept is quite simple I thought the same thing when I got a router like the world was going to end all of a sudden lol!

If that dosent help I'd suggest you buy a new pair of glasses or learn the computer basics of browsing and using the computer.

hehehe just giving yah chit nothing personal just friendly critisizim.
