Hi there,
Does anyone know how to make a 'lite' version of a program?
I guess some 'lite' version must be just re-releases withour spyware.
However, I need to tweak a program without the source.
I have no idea where to start.
I want to add a scheduling function to it.
Any clues?
Thanks

Are you a programmer? If you don't have an idea what to start, you're probably not going to have the skills required to edit a program, so don't even bother trying.

I'm a Computer Science Student.
Not a Great programmer but I get by.
I am looking at reverse engineering through assembly.
But i'm wondering if there is a simpler way.
oh and thanks for the words of encouragement

get a good hex editor and edit that machine level code by hand, private!
I've taken my shot at making light versions of programs ... considering my programming experience ends around PHP and a small bit of C ... it just wasn't happening.
