Im tired of not being able to play a large portion of my game collection because Windows ME has no DOS support. So I thought of partitioning a drive and putting Windows 95 on the partition. The problem is that I cant find Windows 95. So I considered using just DOS 6.22 but I dont know how that would be installed. The files just say "disk 1", "disk 2" up to four and they have four text files. Cant boot from them. Assisstance appreciated.

You mean they each just have four text files on them? That's a problem. In truth I can't figure out why you have four disks either. 6.22 can fit on 3, maybe the fourth was supposed to be support drivers.

ME is based on dos so you should be able to run them... If not then you might want to try to find a dos emulator or something. Thats what people are using on XP to play those old old dos games..

Like Space Quest which is a great game especially Space Quest 4..

Right, the emulator was a good idea, and I have DosBox now, but you cant change the memory settings which is what I really need to do. I saw DOS 6.22 disks 1, 2, and 3 but didnt bother downloading it. The one I have has four text files that just have garbled characters on them and four small executable files. Ill just have to find Windows 95 and put it on a partition.
