At first I was laughing my ass off at Ashlee's pathetic Saturday Night Live where she proved to her 'once fans' that she is a useless artist who has no talent but wants it, and is just another boneless puppet from the music industry, now I feel sorry for her; all those excuses about how bad she sings: "And trying to sing in a stadium where you can't hear yourself is kinda hard," the 21-year old added." - It's not the equipment's fault, or your location = it's YOU! But after I read the article on yahoo, it seems as if Ashlee Simpson has become a complete outcast. Can anyone direct me to the petition?

I couldnt agree more. With these advances, the RIAA groups can release 500x the pop crap and ignore all the other talent. (In saskatchewan, there is no heavy metal, trance, hard rock, NWA-style rap on the airwaves, its all this recycled pop shit). Its amazing all the talented artists that are on those indie music sites that get ignored.

As for me singing, Ive heard myself on mic, I sound like crap, ill stay away from that :)

Mainstream rap, sure. But GOOD rap is all about skill. Look for the following:

"Concrete Schoolyard" by Jurassic 5 (or anything feat. Chali 2na)
"Vicious Battle Raps" by abdominal and DJ Format
"ill Culinary Behaviour" by abdominal and DJ Format

You'll be surprised at the sheer amount of skill coming at you. Try, what have you got to lose ;)

Oh and on the Ashlee Simpson bit - Serves the record companies good for signing up a talentless idiot just because she fits a demographic. They got lazy with tall the tone-correcting technology and forgot that people always tell in the end. Remember Milli Vanilli? Nuff said.
