My my, aren't you surly today? Is it because deep down inside you are just as big of a nerd as the rest of us, and you don't want to show it?

In truth, I would love to shotgun the shit out of the mutant C.H.U.D.S. and the other of the underworld freaks who keep this zombie thread alive. On that note I realised the other day that with the new treks alternate time line the Vulcans probably turned to their Romulan cousins for survival and as a result were not able to support the Federation during some important times like the Borg Invasion or the Dominion war.
Obviously Starfleet would have had to change their peaceful mission just slightly to better defend themselves and in the new time line would have made better weapons and sheilds from the sheer amount of R&D Starfleet Research would pour into the venture.
The star destroyer would most definately be on the lam

Oh man, that's right! The future may be screwed if they don't get what they need to kill the Borg. That would have been the greatest irony if they let that go in the movie. Have that Romulan guy succeed in destroying Starfleet's planets, only to have the Borg show up later and ruin the quadrant far more than Spock did.
Then again, the Borg only showed up because of Q, and Q wouldn't have shown up if Picard wasn't there.

The reality is they will both fail miserably if they face off against a janitor with a banana.

Wow, after the Zynga Vs Valve thread on The Escapist, this epic thread feels really tiny. That ran over 600 pages at 16,000 posts.

You can be assured of that!!
When I do, I will be cantanized and hailed the hero of mankind.
This thread is just another example of the de-evolution of mankind.
The next step backwards in the evolutionary scale for mankind would be a fucking thread about "Extreme Fighting": The Brady's vs.The Partridge Family. Who would win?

The Partridge Family of course.
Hell fresh off the bus Laurie would lick Peter while Danny bangs on Jan.
But the main attraction would be Carol and Shirley, but thats really no match because we already know Carol's not a fighter and would rather kiss and make up.

First I will start with simple motion picture physics.
1. The Enterprise has the ability to engage in combat at speeds greater than light speed (186,000miles per second). Warp 3 is 3x3x3=27x186,000=5,022,000miles per second. A Star Destroyer cannot engage in combat at these speeds, so targeting equipement could probably not even engage a warship moving at such speeds as shown above.
2. Phasers and photon torpedoes. Phaser are phased light beams which is capable of being fired at speeds greater than the speed of light. Photon torpedoes are encased matter and anti-matter that is stored in a torpedo casing that travels at one Cochran factor above the warp speed of the launching starship. Above I mention 5,022.000 miles per second as 27 times the speed of light, this is Warp 3 with each 3 as being a Cochrane factor. So the photon torpedo launched from such a starship would be moving at 3x3x3x3 or 81 times the speed of light. Let a Star Destroyer try to out manuever that. Plus the sudden impact of a matter/anti-matter torpedo would cause termidous damage to any object. Remember the Enterprise did destroy an asteroid with a photon in the motion picture.
3. The Star Destroyer's shielding is designed to stop lasers and missiles. Enterprise weaponry could easily penatrate such weak defenses. While the Enterprise was able to wars off a plasma torpedo from V'yger that easily destroyed a Klingon K'tinga class battlecruiser.
Advantage - Enterprise
Victory would also be the Enterprise, but only after an extended period of combat, after all Star Destroyers are extremly large. But Star Fleet Command would dispatch several starships to engage such a large vessel coming into Federation territory. The only reason such deployment did not occur during the V'yger Incident, there was no starships available that could engage the V'yger before it reached Earth.

One interesting point some one made from analyzing the specs of each ship, the Star Wars ships are so ridiculously fictional that such a battle in itself is absurd. I guess the energy output of a simple TIE Fighter is greater than that of any of the Enterprises. Ask any nerd and I don't think a single one would argue that a TIE could take down any version of the Enterprise

And the Starship Enterprise isn't a ridiculously fictional design? I would also like to introduce an alternate victor. The Battlestar Galactica with Edward James Olmos at the helm.

Having watched all the Star Treks, I can at least say that the shows were based around some theoretical science instead of "magic". Even loose bullshit science is better than coming up with Medichloians and such. Lucas and friends don't design things with science in mind, but how well they could be marketed as toys.

My favorite Trek movies were The Search For Sperm, The Wrath Of Bob, and Deep Space Sex, along with Where No Man Has Cum B4.
And my favorite part is the climax in the movie where the entire crew comes aboard the U.S.S. Entercourse.

Ok goddamn it boys we have to push beyond this impass of bullshit.
The fact of the matter now is because Knights of the Old Republic is now considered cannon all Darth Vader would do is send in HK-47 the killer assassin droid to go over to the enterprise and shoot that pussy Wharf with a blaster pistol before taking out the ship in a cold and ruthless blood bath. It really is quite simple, then with the Help of the Chiss of which Admiral Thrawn was a part. The empire would eventually just use the enterprise crew for DNA to fuel cloning chambers to make more storm troopers.
Enterprise is soooo beat, just cry and go home to momma ladies

Not a chance, bro! Spock would drop some red matter (http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Red_matter) beside their lame ass death star and watch them get sucked into the dark nothingness. Good-bye death star and star war(s). Lets see the dark side return from that dark side. They could never out smart Spock. lmfao.

No because Vader would through clever intelligence find the location of the Guardian of Forever and trap spock and the red matter in a reality distortion feild and then into an alternate dimension where Gates Mcfadden and Brent Spiner were the only survivors of human kind having freaky android sex because Data found his fathers last gift of artificial life and that was Data's fully functioning junk n stuff.
Menwhile back in the real Trek Verse Vader will have made slaves of everyone including everyones precious picard while hopefully force choking Qwark from DS9 into silence

Who can withstand a black hole, nothing...except perhaps the USS Cygnus from Disney's black hole. With its null gravity shields red matter would go the way of the DoDo but as Disney and the universe it resides in is not part of this discussion we can leave that as a tantalizing "what if" scenario
