I've not been to the movies since "The Matrix 3", which helped me to stop spending money at theatre. I'll wait for movie I want to see to come out on DVD, and watch it on my home theatre system at home!

I saw "National Treasure" the other day. When I saw the celtic trinity I turned to my friend and damn near shouted, "I TOLD YOU IT'S NOT JUST THE P.O.D. SYMBOL!!!" [it's my tattoo, I get made fun of a LOT because people think it's because I'm a huge P.O.D. fan]

Before that, I saw "Aviator" and before that I saw "Spanglish."

I have an awesome home theatre so I'm with you on that one DJ. I do need to get out once in a while though. I did make a point to see all the Lord of the Rings movies in the theatre.

As for the last seen movie. It was Troy....I am not a Brad Pitt fan, but it wasn't a bad flic. Great battle scenes, but a bit too long.

hmm i seen a lot of movies lately
the killer within
control 2004 *this movie was good* i am sad about the ending because the guy stood up to his part of the deal and he ended up dead anyways.

this is what its about
It's been a long and hard life for death-row inmate Lee Ray Oliver (Ray Liotta), and by the time he is strapped to the gurney to be executed by lethal injection, his death sentence seems more like sweet release than ultimate punishment for a lifetime of crime. Awakening stunned and confused after being pronounced deceased by the prison doctor, Lee Ray is given a second chance at life on the one condition that he take part in a secret experimental treatment designed by revolutionary scientist Dr. Miles Copeland (Willem Dafoe) to cure him of his criminal instinct once and for all. Despite being granted a new name and new hope, the treatment soon falls to pieces when Lee Ray's past returns to haunt him -- forcing him to once again revert to his old sociopathic mindset. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

One of the downfalls is that eliza dushku or whatever her name is is more worried about posing for the camera and trying to strut her stuff then acting gets to be annoying at a couple of instances in the movie.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0217869/

"This suspense thriller unfolds as the audience is introduced to David Dunn, played by Willis. Not only is he the sole survivor of a horrific train-crash that killed 131 people he doesn't have a scratch on him. Samuel L Jackson plays an obscure character who approaches Dunn with a seemingly far fetched theory behind it all rocketing off an enticing thriller with a sci fi twist"

Last seen in the Theatre: AvP.... disappointed, not horrible, but I felt a little ripped off. Take two rated R science fiction franchises and mash them into a PG13 action flick marketed to teenagers. Blah.

Hudsucker Proxy is a great movie.

I saw The Island, that was ok. It had a cool idea, but it just lacked some intensity and resolve.

Skeleton Key is pretty good, but it reminds me of a really long episode of the Twilight Zone,

I saw Firewall too and that was pretty pointless. It's an action movie I guess, although not much action and the action it did have was an old man pretending to be in his early 40's fight guys in the their 30's. I don't know, it just seemed like a really pointless movie.

Mission Impossible 3 was ok, but wasn't amazing either.

The Davinci Code was pretty good but reminded me of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade with less action, different actors and a slightly different premise.

Tokyo Drift was good for what it is, just a cool movie that has an exciting and feel good and relatively clean plot.

Mels_Smileys45

I watched The Island tonight too. It was OK, could have been better I guess. I also watched A Scanner Darkly. It too was OK, could have been better. The animation was awesome and the story interresting but I had a hard time telling if the acting was meant to be a bit strange or if everyone just sucked. I think it may be one of those movies where a fat joint would have made it kick ass. Worth watching and perhaps a future cult classic.
