Well, bought a AIW 9600XT the other day for cheap (200$), and now I know why.
The damn adapter cable sucks shit.
I screwed it in, and the screws snapped. So here I am using my On board 64MB integrated video.
Just ranting, Kinda pissed off that that happened.

You can't take it back and just say it was already broken?

They are usually under warranty for a certain period of time... I would say its definately a defective part ;)

bah that does suck, I'm saving for a new pc period because this one is pretty outdated for gaming, plan on getting a 6800 gt or one of the x800 series when I do

This is kinda tangential, but oh well.
Anyone care to explain the difference between the Nforce4 and Nforce4 ultra chipsets?

No worries, It was an open box special for 179$. I paid the extra 20$ so I can exchange it on the spot if it is defective.
And its defective! Methinks I gotta do some smashing to my computer tomorrow.
I dunno if its the open box or not, but those adapter cables suck. They dont stay in place even if you screw them in!
Guess ill find out tomorrow.

Hmmm...I got myself the 9600 pro AIW a while back. The graphics card itself is really great --> absolutely excellent price/value deal!
However the cables can be pretty tideous. I got blisters when I tried unsrew/pluging it once!.

You mean the DVI to VGA adaptor dealie, those screws snapped?
Just get a new adaptor, if thats the case, card is prolly good. Also, you can just push it into place and pop the VGA cable in, even though its not screwed in, you can still use the card.
