Seriously, is this network only for porn? Whenever I try to download anything it turns out to be porn. Even zip files are actually mpeg files with the zip extension. And why is it so freaking slow?

Porn makes up about 70% of the internet. Try downloading verified files to avoid the porn. It's slow because of the queuing (sp?) system, although it is one of the most efficient, most well populated, and one of the most adaptable networks available.

I've never encountered unwanted files which turned out to be porn with the eMule network. I have, however, encountered this problem with Kazaa, unsurprisingly.

its helps when download something off edonkey/mule to check what other people have the file named as if the one your downloading is named somet totally differnt to what everyone elses is called then its probley not what you want.

I myself don't mind porn, but when i get it instead of the file i was looking for i get frustrated = it's easy to identify fakes/porn files (look at the description). After going over to ares/gnutella//bittorrent i haven gotten a single fake file!

I downloaded "mystic river.avi"...and got "Anal Agency" :ass :upside

I saw the funny side of it, but now I always tell emule to download the first chunks (previewable part) of a video file, and I use the freely available AVIpreview to play the video.

As already mentioned, check user comments and see if the file has multiple suspicious file names.

try to use movie preview and get verified hashes.... But porn is always good too ;-)

I've downloaded a couple games that turned out to be porn flicks.
Nothing you can do but delete them,and use verified hashes the next time.
But if the porn is really good,for god sake don't delete it!LOL!!
