sounds like you should try reinstalling DC? Should only take a short while, I think you can save your own file list before you uninstall so you don't have to re-hash all you files again.

I had a problem before with my firewall, I could load up DC, but I couldn't dl any lists until the right ports were open, but sonce you can get one list it's prolly not your issue. *tokes*

i've noticed this

i use .306, and newer versions (post .4034) there are problems with people getting my list

my guess? the dc++ guys are forcing incompatibility to push hub operators into banning the old non-hash versions, thereby making possible a full implimentation of muti-source downloads

conspiracy theory? maybe, but the dc++ devs are extremely hot to get that feature turned on and get everyone hashing

personally, i'd use .306, since there are no problems with it--it gets lists from new versions just fine

thats actually the version i was introduced on and i prefere it to the new version
where did u get that one?

also ..
thats a freaky Conspiracy theory .. dont get me all worried man im high as it is

whats multi source downloads.. is it like the kazaa and shareaza and all them crappy p2p's use?.. downloads from multple users?.. i hate that

I've got DC++ .668 on XP running fine and I also used the non hash .3xx versions on XP as well with no problems except for the ones I mentioned above. Did you follow notbob's advice and try the older version?
