I would use PeerGuardian, but my PC sucks (and the case is designed so you can't add RAM, and tech support won't help, because HP sucks), and PG takes extra resources. PG also lets blocked IPs through sometimes, last I heard.

I know eMule has an option to have a list of IPs that it will refuse to connect to. Some mods even load an updated list on startup.

I was wondering if there are any BT clients that do this? I love BT, but I can't afford to be sued.

And if not BT, do any other P2P clients have this capability? I think KL++ used to, but you had to input ranges manually, instead of simply loading a text file with all the blocked addresses, properly formatted.

Thanks a lot.

And on a sidenote, what is the purpose of 'invite only' torrent forums? Someone can easily invite an FBI/RIAA/MPAA/whatever employee unwittingly, and this doesn't stop them from coming. Why not host the sites on a foreign domaign, or on one of those .tk or whatever sites?

you could try protowall, it uses less resources than peerguardian

Invite-only forums work on the supposition that the invitee can be trusted. Simple as that.

As for hosting offshore, it's an option. Keep in mind, however, that a .TK domain is only a URL redirect. For example, you have a website, www.blahblahthisisreallylong.com. You register a .TK address of www.short.tk. When a user enters www.short.tk into the URL bar, what it really does it simply point them to www.blahblahthisisreallylong.com. Just make things easier to remember.

Bitcomet. Uses eMule exclusion list which can be made using Blocklist Manager. (Use www.google.com etc to find these).

Theres no safe haven =( .. so far movies are a big deal and will get you a DMCA as fast as you can download a movie.. Music isnt gonna get you busted if you have a few torrents open sharing. Usually your sharing an album in each torrent or a discography. If its a closed torrent site. ItYou can cun more torrents open for longer periods.
