I've downloaded *** **** 2, which is a four CD. Inside the folder is one NFO and 4 MDF and 4 MDS files. I haven't burned a game before, so I'm not sure what it involves. Can anyone tell me how to do it?

Thanks,

JJ

don't say the name of what you downloaded.. it's not allowed, just edit it out with **** or something.

MDF files needs converting if you are going to use nero, give it a google search for MDF to ISO files.
I think Alcohol120% can burn then strait away.

Either way, try opening your CD burning program and use the burn image file, and see if you can burn the files into a cd, if you can't the file needs converting, convert it into a ISO or a BIN file, these two types are supported by all kinds of burning software.

(oh, you need burning software aswell, that windows XP burning thingi does not work with image burning)

I burnt the images with Alcohol 120 successfully.

The game is installing with CD one then asks for CD 2 but when I put it in I get an error that it had trouble installing a file and won't let me skip the files.

I looked on the disks I burned and I cant see the required file 'voice2.package' but it might be there. Where've I gone wrong?

Why burn them to cd's? Just use a virtual drive and save your cd's for something important like music.

Daemon crashes my computer when I restart, so I don't use it.

That doesn't really help with my question...

You might want to re-burn the CD2. Alcohol also has a virtual drive feature similiar to that of Daemon built into the program (just for some information)

Damn, that happened to you too. Right after I installed it, BSODed my pc when I tried to use it.

It's okay. I have it working. I used a virtual drive and I'm just not going to reboot :P

I'd like to know why it crashes though. I use ME. What OS are you on FF?

When I used ME, Daemon crashed my computer as well. I still have no idea why, but you can probably make a safe bet that ME wasn't helping the situation.

You've all been helpful, but using virtual drives hadsuddenly facked up.

It's now asking me to reboot after CD1 (didnt before) and obviously I cant do that when Daemon crashes my ME system. I ran <game> sucessfully a few hours ago, my comp is giving me.dll errors.

Now its asking for D3D9.DLL file is linked to missing export DDRAW.FLL:dentry21. (I suspect it has something to do with directx)
