Restore those Messed Up MP3 Files

Does anyone know a program that could restore those distored MP3 files ? i have a few MP3 files that are rare but the thing is u could hear that sratching or whatever that sound is in some parts of the song. so does anyone know a program that can eliminate that ?

it dependson how the sound is distorted if it is a bit error or a general file corruption then you are pretty much screwed but if the noise is actually encoded into the mp3 then convert the mp3 to a wave file and use a good wave editor to filter out the distortions , there are loads of wave editors about try cnet downloads.com
