Hi, just wanted to share this.
This is not a attempt to diss winmx 3.xx versions btw.
Evers since the my network ( Ballad ) has started to block about 90% of the winmx3.xx version transfers are skyhigh.
Right now i have had 14000+ transfer on my server alone ( this is one out of 8 servers ).
what im trying to say is that people that still use 2.6 to log on choose for opennap/slavanap. and because they cant use the wnpn network the are more or less forced to use the open/slavanap servers, resulting in lower que's, higher transfers and lesser leeching.
so in other words sharing works better without the wnp networks that buold up que's and stuff :-D

This is a problem with SlavaNap servers, in regards to the inability to enter in the queues properly. And most of the "opennap" servers out there are actually running the SlavaNap program. I wish that WinMX would have some way of detecting the program and making a note of it on one's own server list, so one could connect to just OpenNap or SlavaNap servers.
Personally I connect either to WPNP or to just "opennap" servers, but not to both. In general I find that the transfers fail a lot more on the "opennap" servers due to many which have failed to even start. I assume that is caused by servers being overloaded and having too many people.
Huize, can I connect to Ballad using WinMX version 3.3? Personally I don't want to have two programs on my computer when one would do. At first you were saying that it was the random generation of passwords that was fucking up your network, or is it the incompatibility of WinMX 3+ with SlavaNap which causes you to ban it? People could still log into your network by modifiying their own wsx lists and reporting version 2.6.

Like i said not all server are blocking it so there is a fair chance u can log on with it. But what u said with the que's. thats more or less what i mean.
Seeing how people that use winmx 2.6 log on and say that 10%is a fake signature, that leaves me with alot of people on the real winmx 2,6. They know the wnpn network is down so they choose for open/slava. And also have a different que policy.
This would explain why the transfers are so high ( 21.000) at the moment.
