Lost my desktop to a virus downloading imesh. Had to reload Windows.
I would read the negative comments on CNet before downloading.
Good Luck

well as far as imesh, i never tried it. But if you're looking for mp3's then kazaa might be your next stop. It is true the original kazaa media desktop limits bitrates but as more and more ppl start using Kazaalite (which removes the bitrate limit) you will see high bitrate files increasing, it is in fact growing the amount of avaliable >128kbps mp3's. You could also try wmx3.33 if you like queues and getting disconnected.

First let me say kaman, don't go blaming iMEsh for you getting a virus, and wrecking Windows that is your own fault, don't you use a Virus program ? I don't care what P2P app you use people there are viruses, and trojans to be found on all the P2P networks.
Mp3 Addict, I have used all of the P2P apps out there for many, many years, testing them all side by side, nothing comes close to the speed of iMesh. Since it uses the same network as kazaa, there is plenty out there to get. One great thing that iMesh does that I have not seen in any P2P app is the
' Accelerate' feature, what this will do is when you highlight the download your getting, then either right click on it, or click the button on the interfacce is grab the file from more sources if they're available. In the 'Search' window more stars listed on the app means more sources, and better chances with ' Accelerate' working, this feature is ONLY to speed up the conection. These multiple connections aren't needed to get the file from as some P2P apps work, but only in speeding up the connection. The version of iMesh that I have from Dr.Damn is 3.1 build 130, and it works great, not sure if he has cracked any others. Once you tried iMesh, and all the others as I have done you'll never look to getting another P2P app again ;-)

the previous version of iMesh couldn't even be uninstalled from a PC, and all versions crash (a lot).

If your running Win98/SE/ME anything, and everything crashes on them all the time.
On Win2K/XP, Dr.Damn's 3.1 build 130, runs fine, I wouldn't use the regular version from the site, it has never crashed once on me on Win2k running NTFS in over 6 months.
