Is there ANY way possible to get rid of that blasted annoying ad that shifts the screen up and down at suprnova.org? How can a person concentrate on what the file names are when the screen is moving up and down?

That HAS to be the most annoying ad EVER!

i don't get a single ad when i visit suprnova. btw, i am using MAXTHON, which used to be MYIE2 which is based off of IE6. and i have no probs with it AT all. so all of those ie bashers out there suck my cock.

Yes, you can use Adblock to get rid of alot of the ads. You can also try proxy software like Proxomitron which can do all kinds of things.

I went to suprnova to DL some stuff today and I am running Firefox. No problems at all.

Better run Ad-aware and Spybot S&D.

As I said in my first post....I HAVE firefox. I don't have any spyware on my computer...no adware either trust me. I run multiple anti-spyware/aware aps including adaware and spybot....plus I know how to avoid spyware/adware which is even more important.....BUT...

On second thought ....I don't think it is ads....I do see an ad for poker on the site.

The problem is is that every ten seconds the browser toolbar shifts up about a centimeter....then ten seconds later it shifts back down.

Firefox doesn't do that on any other site.

It does not do this with IE....just firefox.......does anyone else have this trouble?

What ad? I use firefox too but no ad? Just some shitty annoying frame to the right!!!

I use AdMuncher instead of AdBlocker. It works great with all browsers.

Ad muncher took out the ads....but the glitch is still there...the toolbar moves up and down slightly every 10 seconds.......

I don't think it's the ads.....No one else has this problem when going to suprnova.org with firefox? Maybe it's one of my extensions.....

-i deleted all of my plugins.....unistalled firefox 1.0 and reinstalled...still doesn't fix the problem :(

The reason it moves up and down for you (and me as well) is that we have our font sizes at the non-default level. Up at the top of the page there is a section of text that changes from

For me, in that tiny fixed-width box, it wraps to 7 lines of text. If the block is bigger in height than the banner (banner is fixed pixel size since it is an image), this forces the entire rest of the page to shift down the difference when it enlarges and up again when it reduces.

Basicly, its just bad web page design. I have sent email to [email protected], but as usual it is ignored.
