Edonkey Servers down?

Hey all, is there something goin' on with the Edonkey/Emule network? I'm using Shareaza and it's not getting a connection to the network. I'm tried to go to the edonkey2000 home page and gettin' a page can't be displayed.

Any ideas?

edonkey is working fine so is the homepage,stop using shareaza is my advise multi network p2ps suck their not verygood at connecting to anything if you want to use ed2k use edonkey or emule.

Yep, I just connected in about 2 seconds. Nothing wrong.

just for the sake of argument, edonkey2000 is a "multi network p2p". and so is emule.

edonkey2000 now use plugins, so their users can connect and downloads without uploads (leechers) to torrents, gnutella, ants, kazaa. edonkey 2000 IS a very slow p2p client and they are trying to speed up a crap software using plugins :fire

ok for a start shut the fuck up fanboy anyone can make a plug in their not offical and i for one do not use them as they suck,and as for calling edonkey slow coming from a shareza fan lol your lucyk if that pile of crap connects to anything then your even more lucky to find something that doesnt have 500+ queued for it. Edonkey is not slow its the fastest p2p for me and alot of my friends. shareza is the crap software that needs to use ed2k network because its so bad at connecting to"its own" gnutella network.

o and before i get called a edonkey fanboy i use loads of p2ps,donkey,bittornado,slsk,limewire,ares ect and i think their all great.

every time i see someone telling another person to STFU, it makes me want to tell them to STFU. i'm not going to tell you to STFU, just know that i secretly want you to STFU.

anyway. shareaza (the last time i used it...) was an excellent program, i loved it. its implementations of the different programs, while not necessarily as good as the original program, were effective enough.

the queue problem that you mentioned is not native to shareaza, it's a problem throughout the ed2k network--and it's there regardless of the client you're connecting with.

also, a fanboy doesn't necessarily only use the client that they are fanboying. i think it's pretty clear when and when not to identify someone as a fanboy...or even just an idiot. i'm not calling anyone here an idiot, or a fanboy...i'm just saying that they're easy to identify.

So, anyway, recently, I belive the ed2k network has been upgrading. You cannot connect to their servers anymore if you have a LowID. PERIOD. That's what your problem is, I believe.

well he did say edonkey was crap software which is balls,his "shareaza my p2p" sig just pissed me off and i was talking about shareaza been so bad at connecting to g1 and 2 i dont get queues that badly when using edonkey.

Plugins are not officials (except torrent plugin, which is distribute with edonkey installer) but edonkey developers are responsible cause they open the program and anyone can implement anything, even leeching plugins. You can’t implement those or any other plugin to shareaza or emule. That’s a fact. They implement plugins cause edonkey 2000 is slow. That’s a fact too.

Someone post about a problem he has using shareaza and you are not trying to help him, giving him a solution but you are trying to promote your crap software.

everything really depends on timming of day and timming of file if the file is released and has been released for too long and not in circulation then your speed might not be so go same goes if you have your ratio turned way down to nothing highspeed is achiveable by any p2p really its a matter of content provided and open bandwidth for the particular file.

I will though have to agree however sharezza is a good attempt at merging networks but is really far from its potential as a P2P another thing that bugged me about sharezza is that you cannot search for file specific one word results kind of annoying when you forget the exact name of a file....

EMULE ED2K far better for preformance but I prefer that people look away from preformance and move to annomity so that preformance can be provided with annomity.

it's impossible that every edonkey server is down, u should probably try to update ur server list or reinstall shareaza

They implement plugins cause edonkey 2000 is slow. That’s a fact too.
look stop calling edonkey slow its not just cos you get slow results doesnt meen everyone does iv used shareaza so many times and its never worked at all its been slow the connection to the g1and 2 is poor to say the least infact the only thing thats worked is the donkey network.
i went to the forums and asked for help and loads of other people do and they give you a missive list of settings to change well screw that you shouldnt have to piss round with options for hours just to download somet on a p2p iv never had anytrouble with other p2ps.

yes he said edonkey didnt work so i told him he would be better off using off edonkey2000 or emule which is a fact if he had said he was having g1 and 2 problems i would of probley told him to try out limewire same with bt try bittornado or other bt p2p thats not fanboying im just trying to help unless your gonna call me a p2p fanboy but who isnt.
