Oh god these two movies were just bloody awful. I guess this is the type of movies I deserve now, for being an American. Hollywood has figured out that no longer do they have to make a film with substance and style for that matter why even have a plotline?

Yesterday, I had the displeasure of watching the third installment of Blade, I actually felt like a zombie, when I left the cinema. This movie was so rushed together it was akin to writing down a few ideas turning on a blender and here you go Blade 3 enjoy! The scariest thing about Blade 3 is actually having to write a review so that others dont make the same mistake. Unfortunately, I cant really write a review because its all just a blur now, pretty similar to a Timothy Leery acid experiment.

Goodluck

They are what ya call, no brainers...usually requiring good stimulants to enhance the experience. I didn't mind Alien vs Preditor, but...it did start off very slow.

Yes, check out the Matrix Trilogy. Over 1 billion dollars made, thousands of philosophy papers written, millions converted (:p), amazing cinematography.

Never compare them to Blade again. EVER. I will be prompted to backhand you if you do.

Wasn't comparing the movies just the fact that they are trilogies.
Sorry Rebirth but Matrix Revolutions sucked ass...to me it just seemed like
they got tired and ran out of ideas forcing them to play out the tired Christos Messiah
dialoge (will we ever see him again? You never know) ugh.....
The third didnt seem to fit with the first two, didnt seem right.

Alien Vs. Predator made me stupified sick. Bloody afwul. Somehow The director, Paul W. Anderson (famous for making bad movies.. Mortal Kombat anyone?) took two of the most interesting science fiction franchises and murdered them. Meh.
As far as The Matrix Trilogy goes... well it's got this thin veneer of intelligence that you can see past if you spend more than a few minutes thinking about the flicks. They introduced so many intersting ideas in Reloaded, but in in the end what did we get? Mini-mechs. Yeup, mini-mechs shooting a lot of lead. Of course there's the crowd who will say "Well that's what they were trying to say, that there are no answers and we do what we choose and it's all zen, and blah blah blah." C'mon, a christ allegory and license plates with biblical references don't make a deep film. As an action film fanatic, I appreciate the kick in the pants The Matrix Trilogy gave the genre. I do love the films, but for what they are... monumental technological and directiorial achievements.
However, at the same time I'm really sick of leather clad faux bullet time bought-off-the-shelf SFX shots that are being pumped out en mass. Find a copy of Bullet Proof Monk and you'll se what I mean.
Blade III? I have it here and haven't been able to bring myself to watch it yet. Personally I think Snipes should drop the vampire schtick and do a remake of the 70's blacksploitation film "Black Belt Jones". (awesome) He's an accomplished martial artist, and I'd like to see what he can put to flim without all of the glitz and special effects.

Why didnt they copy right bullet time i mean they made such a big deal about it if they had of copy righted it we wouldnt have to put with every other film having some random bit of "spinny camera slow mo" in it.

I'm sure John Geta and his crew own the original software they developed, but they can make money by licensing it to others. Others can copy it's look if they want as well. Trying to stop someone else from mimicking it would be like trying to say you own slow motion or montage.
Example: Terminator 2's morphing effects. They were new, wonderful, and eye-popping. Yet by that Winter we were seeing them tire commercials.

It just seems that Hollyweird is making more and more cruddy movies. I guess they figure that the average person is so dumb they will pay to see a title alone. So its not important to them on what kind of film they make as long as it brings money in. Jesus now that glickman is head of the mpaa, his own crappy director son is whining to him about piracy...because he just simply doesnt have the talent to make a decent film.

The most amazing thing of all is that hollywood expects me to pay 8bucks to sit in a theatre and be bored out of my fuckin mind? I dont think so, I wish I had downloaded Blade trinity. Then I wouldnt have felt guilty about not watching the movie to the end.

SanDiegoKid

I actually don't mind paying to see crappy movies, as long as it's with my crew and we sneak booze in. Then it's a friggin' party. We intentionally seek out bad movies, put on our baggy coats (for hiding the booze and beer), get in the theater, then OPEN THE BAR! Woo hoo!

I sorta liked AVP, I guess it was just because it brought the two creatures back to the scene. Though it could have been better. It should have been more of an Alien vs. Predator, instead of an Alien vs. Predator in a human obstacle course; and with more action. I haven't seen Blade 3 yet, want to, but I'm sure it's not too high a caliber.

I'm planning on watching Old Boys (Korean) and Der Untergang (German) - those are not those everyday 'here we go again' movies like avp or polar express. Note that i will pay in the cinema to see them, i only pay if it's worth it not for that crap like eurotrip.

The first 2 Blade movies were awesome so I'll be checking out Trinity just to see what happens. Havent seen AVP yet. I also liked all the Matrix movies so there you go. I love all kinds of movies, from cheap B budget camp to over blown budget blockbusters.

I watched Blade Trinity the other night, and once again file sharing has saved me from spending hard earned cash (if collecting from my hoes can be called hard earned) on another stupified special FX orgy of retarded steaming dog crap.
After Steaming Dog Crap II (alternate title: Blade II) I didn't really have high expectations. One of my favorite actresses, Parker Posey, had a fairly large part as a fanged bad girl beauty, so I was willing to give it a chance. Oh silly me... silly stupid retarded me. How could I have, even for a second, placed any miniscule droplet of faith in this film.
Remember how vampires were supposed to be 20 times stronger than normal humans? Well, that seems to have gone out the window, because as long as your stunt-man stand in can throw a few kung-fu kicks it's no problem.
"Drake" (*cough* Dracula *cough*), the ultimate first vampire who's been snoozing beneath the sands of Iraq is rousted from his sleep to combat Blade. They first meet eachother half way through the movie and you know what happens? An awesome battle where Blade sees that he's got his work cut out for him? No, no, no, you silly bastard. That would make sense and possibly save the flick from being not quite so retarded and contrived. No, "Drake" (*cough* Dracula) jumps out of a window and flees across the rooftops of the city with Blade hot on his heels.
When they finally stop leaping across rooftops ala Crouching Tiger, do they fight? No.. no way, man. They have a CONVERSATION. "Drake" (*cough* Dracula) only says something like, "So, Blade. I see you are the one they fear but I don't fear you." (that's why he ran away, because he's not scared) Blade replies, "All those other vampires from the other movies said that too but they died at the end of my sword."
"Drake" (*cough* you get the idea) then hits back with the tight quip, "Yeah, well, uh, maybe you'll die from MY sword!" and then jumps somewhere, presumably to go sharpen his sword or something.

Oh man... if the MPAA ever gets around to suing me for downloading this pointless uncreative piece of vampire dung, I'm going to counter sue for loss of life. Yes, I lost 2 hours of my life on this crap, and I want it back.

Fuck you, Blade. You suck.

Cam rips can make a movie seem very crappy. Unless you see a movie how it supposed to be seen, a review is pointless.

Oh, puh-LEEZE.

A fuzzier picture and the occasional sillouette of a theater-goer getting up to leave, in an attempt to get their money back, doesn't hide inept writing, acting, or plot.

This movie isn't "supposed to be seen", it's to be endured.. at gunpoint.
And if you're thinking of saying anything akin to "Well it's free so don't bitch", lemme tell you that most torture is free of charge too, high priced dominatrixes notwithstanding.

.. and this wasn't a review, it was a warning. Abandon all hope ye who watch this craptastic waste of celluloid.

Well, went to go see Blade 3 over the weekend, and it's not as bad as i thought! Not as good as Blade or Blade 2, but worth watching for sure.
It was kinda in a way simular to Blade 2, but not as good.

I saw Trinity in the theatre and it was still really lousy, the plot was asinine. I have no idea what happened because Blade 1+2 were fairly decent. I think im going to have a general rule from now on........any third installments will have to be downloaded.

I do agree on the camera rips they certainly dont help a movie. I pretty much gave-up on those, I guess the watermarking is really working out for the mpaa, makes you wonder why they decided to start suing people?

In movies, the picture is a huge percentage of the entertainment value factor. Even more so in an action flick. If it was not, you would read a book instead and use your imagination. The sound also adds a lot to atmosphere. I'm not saying the movie was/is any good but I've seen cam rips and thought a movie was awful then watched the DVD and saw a whole different movie.

Yeah, it was probably the cropped aspect ratio that got me. I think I'll go spend eight bucks and see the horrible acting and predictable as-the-sun-rise plot in it's full crisp resolution.
In fact, I'll bet it's a grand sweeping epic with a cinematographic presence worthy of best picture, if only I watch it as it's meant to be seen.

Gee, I hope this one makes it to I-Max!
