please help with kazaa

ok i have kazaa....some songs play great....but some download and wont play. What do i need to do to get the files correct? Im sure I need a codec but to be honest i have no idea what that is or how to begin to get it and use it......please help.....Jen

mmm... i think this is not a problem of kazaa.... as you say, could be a codec... could be a problem from Windows Media.

Did you try another player like winamp?

Well, WMP and Winamp play all formats, for one KMD uses WMP to play audio and movies, so make sure you have the latest v10.0, But RealPlayer also plays ALL formats and it will automaticly d/l the codec is you need it.

It could also be a problem with Kazaa and corrupt files.

Oh god here we go again. There are more fakes there, than asprin has headache pills. If you insist on using kazaa, please use MP3 shield to scan your files. http://www.mp3shield.com/
Now personally i would not use kazaa at all as it has terrible file hashing, and it is too easy to download fakes.

Maybe you're downloading mp4 or ogg files or you just downloaded fakes which there are no shortage of on Kazaa. Like Hunter says...dump Kazaa. I hope at least you have a lite version and not KMD, if you are going to keep using it??

It could simply be a corrupt file, but i myself have never downloaded a less than perfect quality file from (kazaa-lite).

But there is a chance it could be a problem with not having the correct codecs installed, therefore i would download the newest (ace mega codec pack) this pack contains everything you need to play any music and video files. You can download this from HERE (http://www.klitetools.com)
