DVD Players can not read ISO or other disk image formats! If you want to backup DVDs use DVD Shrink or some other programs.

I have never heard that DVD-players cannot read images....whats the point in making an image of a DVD then???

The point is to have one solid file of all the files of a DVD or CD files on it.
It's kind of like a huge Zip, or Rar file(actually winrar can open .iso files)
You have to burn the image INTO a DVD, instead of burning the image ON TO a DVD.

The problem most likley is your media quaility. Try some new DVD-r/+r disc

He means if you burn the iso as a data file it will not be functional, where as if you burn it with your nero settings in iso mode you will have many .vob files instead of one .iso file.

Think of it like a zip file, it can contain many files under one extentsion, but are not usable until they have been extracted.......

I would recommend using DVD Decrypter to burn your shink back ups...DVD Decrypter (http://www.dvddecrypter.com/)

afterdawn.com (http://www.afterdawn.com/) has some great guides...

If you're using nero, try just using the "Smart Start" option, make sure you're in DVD mode (top center of the app), and under "Copy and Back Up" choose "Burn Image to Disc". Navigate your way to the image you have and let 'er rip.

I mounted the iso with daemon tool, extracted the files to my HD and burned it with Nero...good solution, ehh :)

why are u extracting the files from the ISO u created with dvdshrink? After you create the ISO, open nero burning rom and choose Recorder > burn image. That's all u need to do.

Google DVD Decrypter Support Forum. All of your questions will be answered there. I especially recommend the guides under the FAQ's. I, like you, was once baffled by the mysteries of the DVD. This Forum saved me. And, it's absolutely free! They are GODS!
